IMS Evolve are selected by the UK's Innovation Agency to jointly develop a DSR solution focused on ensuring food safety and food quality.
IMS Evolve are currently undertaking a 3 year project to develop a DSR solution focused on ensuring food safety and food quality, whilst delivering valuable cost saving outcomes for food retailers.
The project is working to solve a very complex food and electricity supply chain challenge that required the development of a fully scalable solution that can manage hundreds of thousands of assets in real-time.
This solution will dynamically balance the demands of the National Grid by leveraging the energy load requirements of large refrigeration estates.
This kind of demand side response project has never been done before, due to the high risk associated with food quality and food safety.
The project consortium consists of IMS Evolve, Tesco, Lincoln University and FRPERC, with co-funding from the Government's Innovation Agency, Innovate UK.
